Ladies, I am a big believer in taking good care of your skin and making sure to use the right products for each problem area. I always say makeup sits better on well prepped skin and so I will try and share some of my older skin care products and then some of my newer ones. A lot of the older products I use, I no longer plan to purchase for ethical reasons but I will still review them as I have been asked about them.
So first off I wanted to share one of my staple skincare solutions after I gave myself a lil facial last night which gave me the chance to finally work on my first skincare post and I thought why not start with the Dark Angels Cleanser from Lush Cosmetics. I use it so often and I'm constantly raving about it to everyone as well as my sisters nicking mine whenever they come over! FYI - Lush is a great Natural & Ethical brand & I haven't found a product of theirs that I dislike so definitely give them a try if you haven't already!
What they say on the website - "This is for those of you who really like to scrub your skin to feel clean, with Black Sugar and Charcoal to exfoliate, and Rhassoul Mud to deeply cleanse... It’s a great way to exfoliate and is deeply cleansing, whilst black sugar is in here to scrub away any dead skin cells, leaving you with bright, refreshed skin."
I absolutely love this cleanser! I've been using it for about almost a year now - repurchased twice now since I use it every few days. I've even mix it with my Neutragena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Wash & Mask to make a creamy paste & apply it as a mask for 5 mins after a bath.
It really does exfoliate the skin & give it a throughly deep clean without over drying or irritating the skin. AND it has helped soo much with all my pesky breakouts! I've also noticed how it reduces redness especially around hormonal breakouts which take longer to heal and are so painful.
I love that the scrub is a dry powder formula - so I don't have to worry so much it going off or turning bad. It allows me to adjust the consistancy from thin/watery to thick and creamy depending on if I'm using it as a quick scrub or as a intensive exfoliating mask.
P.S My eyebrows soo look like Scousebrows but thats just the mask... Honestly!
