A few weeks back I was booked by a regular model of mine, Roxy, to do her makeup for her older sister's wedding & she insisted on only me doing her makeup. Despite me having an exam in the morning & staying up the night before prepping for it, I was excited to see Roxanne again & get her dolled up. <3
We had already discussed the look she wanted to go for in advance & we did a mini trial after one of our shoots together which I shared on IG / Facebook while ago but here's another look at the makeup look I did on Roxy at the mini trial...
How gorgeous does she look? Seriously Roxy has one of the most beautiful faces I've ever seen & she can pull off soo many looks. She's one of the few people I know who transforms so amazingly well when it comes to Hair & Make up, hence why I love using her as a model!
Since she knew she would be wearing a gold blinged up bridesmaids outfit we decided to go with champagne glitter lids, a soft purple smoked crease & super winged out liner.
She also wanted full on contour, with uber defined cheekbones, a pretty soft peachy lips & cheeks and a gorgeous warm highlight. I made sure to make sure everything blended out really nicely so there were no harsh lines - unblended makeup is such a peeve of mine especially harsh contour lines!
Products I used on Roxy:
Face - Embryolisse Moisturiser, Urban Decay Pore Perfecting Priming Potion, Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (Mixed 3 to get her custom shade), Graftobian HD Warm Foundation Palette, Hard Candy Glamouflage Concealer, Ben Nye Banana Powder & CHANEL Poudre Universelle Libre.
Eyes - MAC Paint Pot Soft Ochre, MAC Warm Neutral Eyeshadow Palette & Vanilla Pigment, Makeup Geek Peach Smoothie, Ben Nye Glitter Glue, MAQ Pro Champagne Glitter, Inglot Gel Liner in 77, Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara, Velour Mink Lashes in Winging.
Cheeks - Illamasqua Cream Pigment - Delirium, Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, Illamasqua Blush Duo (Lover & Hussy) & MAC MSF in Gold Deposit mixed with The Balm Mary Lou Manizer.
Lips - Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Penelope Pink with Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Liner in Pillow Talk.
Brows - Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Dark Brown & Urban Decay Naked Basics (Faint & Crave)
I finished the face off by setting the makeup with some spritzes of Model In A Bottle Setting Spray. (Review coming soon!) It's a must have for long lasting makeup.
I know it seems like a lot of products but for big events, when the makeup needs to last a long time I like to build up products in thin layers and I always make sure to set anything creamy or liquid with a corresponding powder such as the contour and the liner - This ensures everything lasts for an especially long time.
I hope you liked the product break down - I will have another one up soon for the Hijab Jewels Spring Summer Look Book 2015 so do keep an eye out.
As always, do take care!
